Dystopia

Dystopias are interesting. Especially to me. A dystopia is "socially, morally, and politically terrible" (Via Brainstorm Services); the complete opposite of utopia. The term was coined by Thomas More in his book Utopia, 1516. I once did a paper for English that took place in a dystopia.
So, I was searching 'dystopia' on Google when I found a poem by Robert Gray where he tells of a city where humans are ruining nature, while they are part of nature. Check it out here.

I Just LOVE it When People Put Videos of them Dancing on the Internet

It's so awesome how they can remember what moves to do at which time! I would never remember all those moves. Dancing is such an art. Its so creative and helps you relax. Thats why I love hip hop; its so fun to dance to!

Emo Blobs 2

My favorite, shapeless, purely passionate about each other, emo blobs, Pon and Zi. They're so cute, they'll make you cry! Or close to it. Or if you're not emotional (unlike me) then you won't cry or show any feeling at all.

His Paintings Represent the Landscape of My Brain

Salvador Dali, the guy who started my lasting interest in art. And thus my whole life. Here are some great paintings by him. Some famous; some you've probably never heard of before.

Allegorie de Soie

Ordinary French Loaf with Two Fried Eggs Riding Without a Plate, 1932

The Hand

Eggs On the Plate Without the Plate

Surrealist Object Gauge

The Triangular Hour

DalĂ Lifting the Skin of the Mediterranean Sea to Show Gala the Birth of Venus

And, if you're ever feeling depressed, google pictures of Salvador Dali, they'll cheer you up.

Haunting Lyrics (well, isn't all Gothic rock like that?)

I am bringing you another music video by one of my favorite bands. Surprised? You shouldn't be. This one is by Gothic rock chick band Switchblade Symphony called Gutter Glitter. The name much reminds me of my hair last Halloween. XD (I was a dark version of Alice in Wonderland, by the way) I love it so much for the xylophone-like sound in the beginning and Tina Root's beautiful voice. And of course, the haunting lyrics.

The Lyrics To This Song:

Iridescent eyes, of the seahorse cries
Treasure she loves, others despise
A shooting star, shant fall very far
Dim fireflies, held in glass jars
April showers, brings May flowers
Dazzling dust, tossed in wind gusts
The trap door is open
The window, half closed
The tapestry curtain vivaciously glows

London Bridge did fall down
My fair lady nearly drown
What is the reason to lock her up,
When already she had such rotten luck?

Bracelets of silver adorn my wrists
Candy kisses from sugar lips

(Candy kisses me)

London Bridge did fall down
My fair lady nearly drown
The London Bridge did fall down
My fair lady nearly drown

London Bridge is falling down
Falling down, falling down
London Bridge is falling down
Falling down, my fair lady
Take the key and lock her up
Lock her up, lock her up
Take the key and lock her up
My fair lady

And The Song:

This Band Should Be Named Pineapple Head and the Winterborns

I'm making you listen to a lot of music lately. Well, too bad! You're not getting a break!

If you've read my profile, then you would know that one of my favorite bands is the Cruxshadows. Now, I've realized that some of you out there have never heard of them. To me, this comes as a shock, because how could you have not heard of as awesome a band as the Cruxshadows? So I'm gonna make you all-Cruxshadows fans or not-listen to one of my favorite songs by them: Winterborn.

I was born in October. Does that make me Fallborn?

Lyrics:

Dry your eyes and quietly bear this pain with pride
For heaven shall remember the silent and the brave
And promise me they will never see, the fear within our eyes
(my eyes are closed)
We will give strength to those who still remain

So bury fear, for fate draws near
And hide the signs of pain
With noble acts, the bravest souls
Endure the heart's remains
Discard regret, that in this debt
A better world is made
That children of a newer day might remember
And avoid our fate

(I've waited all day in the pouring rain, but nobody came, no, nobody came)

And in the fury of this darkest hour
We will be your light
You've asked me for my sacrifice
And I am Winter born
Without denying, a faith is come
That I have never known
I hear the angels call my name
And I am Winter born

Hold your head up high-for there is no greater love
Think of the faces of the people you defend
(you defend)
And promise me, they will never see the tears within our eyes
(my eyes are closed)
Although we are men, with mortal sins, angels never cry

So bury fear, for fate draws near
And hide the signs of pain
With noble acts, the bravest souls
Endure the heart's remains
Discard regret, that in this debt
A better world is made
That children of a newer day might remember
And avoid our fate

And in the fury of this darkest hour
We will be your light
You've asked me for my sacrifice
And I am Winter born
Without denying, a faith in God
That I have never known
I hear the angels call my name
And I am Winter born

And in the fury of this darkest hour
I will be your light
A lifetime for this destiny
For I am Winter born
And in this moment..I will not run
It is my place to stand
We few shall carry hope
Within our bloodied hands
(bloodied hands)
And in our Dying, we're more alive-than we have ever been
I've lived for these few seconds
For I am Winter born

And in the fury of this darkest hour
We will be the light
You've asked me for my sacrifice
And I am Winter born
Without denying, a faith in man
That I have never known
I hear the angels call my name
And I am Winter born

Within this moment now
I am for you, though better men have failed
I will give my life for love
For I am Winter born
And in my dying
I'm more alive, than I have ever been
I will make this sacrifice
For I am Winter born

By the by, LOVE the violin. X3
